Tribute to India's Revolutionary Warrior Queen
Located opposite the High Court bench and close to Parivartan Chowk, Begum Hazrat Mahal Park is dedicated to one of India's most extraordinary heroines of 1857. Formerly known during the colonial era as Victoria Park, it was officially rechristened in 1962 to honor the defiant Queen of Awadh.
The Marble Memorial Canopy
At the center of the manicured floral garden stands an exquisite domed marble pavilion bearing the royal Awadhi coat of arms and brass plaque detailing the Queen's legendary resistance. Shaded by ancient neem and gulmohar trees, the park is a favored morning jogging haven and peaceful sunset retreat.
